It wasn't particularly easy to select 10 great rookies from this year's class, but one guy who made the decision easy was Celtics guard Marcus Smart. That's why it was no surprise when he was named Second-Team All-Rookie on Monday.
From Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald:
The Celtics guard received 28 first-team votes and 86 for the second team.
The balloting closely mirrored that for Rookie of the Year, except when it came to Smart. In both cases, Minnesota’s Andrew Wiggins got the most votes, followed in order by Chicago’s Nikola Mirotic, Philadelphia’s Nerlens Noel and Orlando’s Elfrid Payton.
But whereas Smart finished fifth in the Rookie of the Year voting, he was overtaken by Lakers guard Jordan Clarkson for first-team honors. Clarkson finished seventh for Rookie of the Year.

Smart averaged 7.8 points and 3.1 assists while playing ferocious defense during his rookie season.
