LeBron James: If I win title during Trump presidency, I may not visit White House
If LeBron James wins another title, he would have to think about whether or not to join his team on its subsequent visit to the White House.
Speaking after the Cleveland Cavaliers visited President Barack Obama in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, James told The Washington Post’s Adam Kilgore that he’s not sure if he will visit the White House again while Donald Trump is president.
James did not echo many Americans in saying that Trump wasn’t ‘his president,’ however.
“He’s our president. ... Our nation has never been built on more than one guy,” James said.
The three-time champion campaigned in Ohio for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who lost Tuesday’s election to Trump. He had previously endorsed Clinton for president in an op-ed in the Akron Beacon-Journal last month.
