LeBron James gives each Cleveland Indians player a gift before Game 1 of World Series
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been looking forward to this night all summer. Tonight, before they open their 2016-17 campaign at home vs. the New York Knicks, the Cavs will receive their championship rings and drop their 2016 title banner from the Quicken Loans Arena rafters.
However, this isn't the only major event going down in the city tonight, as Game 1 of the World Series between the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs will simultaneously be played across the street.
Having already brought Cleveland its first professional sports title in 52 years, LeBron James continued to support the city by sending the Indians players gifts before they take the field tonight at Progressive Field — limited-edition, custom Beats by Dre headphones.
As you can see in the tweet, Indians star Francisco Lindor returned the kind gesture with one of his own — a signed jersey.
In addition, once the basketball game is over, Indians star Jose Ramirez made sure that LeBron could walk over and watch them play:
Plenty of love to go around during one of the biggest nights, if not the biggest, in Cleveland sports history.
