LeBron James apparently had a sleepover with the Larry O'Brien Trophy
It's been nearly four days since the Cleveland Cavaliers were crowned NBA champions, and LeBron James just doesn't want to let the Larry O'Brien Trophy go.
James, who has been seen showering the trophy with plenty of love and affection over the past few days, apparently took the team's hardware home for a sleepover Wednesday night.
After the Cavaliers celebrated the championship with an epic parade attended by 1.3 million fans, the team was honored by the city in a massive rally downtown. The rally was capped off with a speech from James, who raised the Larry O'Brien Trophy in front of hundreds of thousands of fans -- and apparently, the Cavaliers haven't seen the trophy since.

According to Tom Withers of the Associated Press, James took the trophy home with him following Wednesday's festivities.
But of course, King James had a good reason for it.
James is bringing the trophy with him to his hometown of Akron for a celebration the city is holding in his honor Thursday evening. Akron is teaming up with the LeBron James Foundation for a party to celebrate the hometown hero. The celebration will feature a special presentation from the mayor of Akron, along with a speech from James himself.
While the Akron party might not be as big as Cleveland's, it's expected to be an emotional evening for the three-time NBA champ, who still says he's "just a kid from Akron."
