LeBron honors college football bet, sends Warriors' Green two cases of wine
Criticize LeBron James all you want, but he's clearly a man of his word.
After losing a bet to Golden State Warriors big man Draymond Green over the Ohio State-Michigan State game last month, James sent Green two cases of wine, according to Green.
“That man LeBron, that’s a good man right there,” Green said on NBATV, according to Inside The Warriors. “A good man. He knows a young guy like me can’t afford it yet, so he took care of me. That’s what’s up. LeBron’s a man of his word.”
James sent Green cases of 2010 Silver Oak, which retails around $130 per bottle. Though Green can afford such expensive wine nowadays after signing a max deal with the Warriors this offseason, it should be chump change to James -- especially after signing his lifetime deal with Nike.
