The latest Lakers news is great news, as the team won their third road game of the season on Saturday night.
Travelling to New Orleans, the Lakers were looking for their sixth win of the season. They got what they wished for via a huge fourth quarter and dominant performance throughout.
Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams continued to emerge as a presence off the bench. Clarkson led the team in scoring with 23, while Williams contributed 21.
D’Angelo Russell also showed improvement, dropping 22 of his own.
Surprisingly, veteran Luol Deng was held scoreless and Timofey Mozgov and Julius Randle combined for just 16 points.
Rookie Brandon Ingram pitched in ten points to go with four assists and a steal.
For the Pelicans, Anthony Davis led their losing effort with 34 points. Davis also had eight rebounds combined with two assists.
The win was the Lakers’ third road win of the year. Los Angeles is now 3-3 on the road and 6-4 overall.

Even for die-hard fans, this kind of start was unprecedented. Luke Walton continues to show why he’s the right fit to guide this young team.
Holding their opponent to 15 points in a quarter has been a theme in recent wins for the Lakers. It happened again in New Orleans, as the Pelicans met that mark in the third quarter.
The final frame is where Los Angeles took total control. Outscoring the Pelicans 42-28, the Lakers ended on a strong note en route to a 27-point blowout.
Losing this game meant the Pelicans would fall to 1-9 on the season and 0-5 at home.
Anthony Davis has been doing everything he can and then some, but it hasn’t been enough.
Thankfully, Los Angeles is experiencing a different story.
Through ten games, there’s plenty to love from these young Lakers.
Up next for them is a date with the Timberwolves on Sunday.
