Kings SF Garcia out indefinitely with calf injury

Published Jan. 22, 2011 3:18 a.m. ET

Sacramento Kings small forward Francisco Garcia is expected to miss several more games because of a left calf strain.

Garcia missed his third straight game Friday night at Golden State with the injury. Kings coach Paul Westphal said Garcia aggravated the calf again during Thursday's practice and will be out for at least another week.

Garcia was averaging 9.3 points and 2.5 rebounds this season and worked his way into a starting role. He was the 23rd overall pick in the 2005 NBA draft after playing at Louisville.

Donte Greene has started in Garcia's place.
