Kevin Garnett pulls a Lance Stephenson, blows in David West's ear

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 12:01 p.m. ET

After nearly 20 years in the NBA, Kevin Garnett is still adding elements to his game.

Case in point: Saturday's game against the Indiana Pacers, when the Brooklyn Nets star took a page out of Lance Stephenson's playbook and blew in the ear (and face) of David West, trying to rattle the veteran forward.

You might remember Stephenson, with the Pacers at the time, tried to get in LeBron James' head during last season's playoffs.

LeBron didn't take the bait, but West did. West gave Garnett a shove and received a technical.

According to West, there was a key difference between Stephenson's ploy and Garnett's.

"I think Lance's was more sensual. That was an aggressive one. I didn't like it. It was too much," said West.

The Pacers won the game easily, 110-85
