Kenyon Martin out for Knicks second straight game with ankle injury
New York Knicks forward Kenyon Martin will miss his second straight game with an injured left ankle.
Martin, who is averaging 3.6 points, four rebounds and has made nine starts this season for the struggling Knicks, will sit out Tuesday night's game against the Cavaliers.
New York coach Mike Woodson said before the game that he hopes to have Martin back Wednesday night when New York travels to Chicago.
Metta World Peace will make his first start this season for New York, which has dropped 10 of 12 and was beaten by 41 at home by Boston on Sunday. World Peace is averaging 6.5 points off the bench for the Knicks, who have been a major disappointment and are just 5-14.
World Peace scored 12 points in each of his past two games. Woodson said he will have World Peace guard Cavs forward Tristan Thompson.
