Police are reportedly investigating an incident that involved Cleveland Cavaliers center Kendrick Perkins and his wife early Wednesday morning.

According to Patrick Cooley of the Northeast Ohio Media Group, police responded to a 911 call about a woman allegedly hitting a man inside of a black SUV. The caller indicated that the woman, who turned out to be Perkins’ wife, looked as though she was trying to prevent the man from getting out of the car.

When officers arrived, they determined that neither Perkins nor his wife had any visible injuries. Both parties indicated that they had simply been arguing, and neither was taken into custody. Police gave Perkins a ride home and left his wife with the SUV.

All in all, it does not sound like the incident was anything major. Perkins has played sparingly for the Cavs in their series against the Chicago Bulls. He has played just two minutes in each of the past two games and did not make an appearance in two of the first three games of the series.
