Kelly Oubre Jr. impresses in Summer League finale

While it's dangerous to read too much into Summer League statistics, Wizards first-round pick Kelly Oubre Jr. was having a rough go if it in his first few games.
Fortunately, he got it turned around and left Vegas on a high note.
Here's more from Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post:
Frustrated by his performance in Washington’s initial five summer league games, Oubre Jr. spent three nights honing his craft with his trainer Drew Hanlen. Two were late workouts focused on his jump shot and the third was a film session. The extra work produced Oubre’s best effort.
The 15th pick in last month’s draft poured in a game-high 30 points in Washington’s 97-89 victory over the Denver Nuggets in a consolation contest Friday night at Cox Pavilion. Oubre shot 9 of 14 from the floor and inflicted the bulk of his damage from beyond the arc.
“It felt great,” Oubre, 19, said. “I’ve been in the gym all week, off the court, so it felt great to pretty much see a couple go down today.”
