Joe Ingles loves his new nickname

Joe Ingles surpassed most expectations in his rookie year with the Utah Jazz. After being waived by the Los Angeles Clippers, Ingles was picked up by the Jazz, though his expected role was less of a contributor and more a mentor, specifically to Dante Exum.

Yet Ingles slowly proved his worth, showing a high basketball IQ, great passing and the ability to space the floor. As a result, he earned himself a spot in the rotation. One area in which Ingles did not impress is his leaping ability – which brings us to his nickname.

"I dunno where they got ‘Big’ or ‘Jumpin,” ’cause I can’t jump and I’m not very big! I had ‘Slo Mo Joe,’ which is probably the most appropriate one ’cause I’m not very quick according to the commentators.”
