Jason Terry is back in Dallas
The legend of Jason Terry began in Dallas, when he made clutch shot after clutch shot as the Mavericks' resident sixth man. Tonight, he returns as a villain in red.
Terry's role is much different these days, but he's still an important part of Houston's success. Here's what Dwight Howard had to say about the veteran's influence, according to ESPN's Calvin Watkins.
"'He’s been a great veteran to our team, a great voice in the locker room, a great voice on the court wherever it may be,” Dwight Howard said. 'He‘s been consistent all year. He’s done an excellent job bringing myself and James [Harden] closer as teammates and also as leaders of this team.'"
There's no question Terry has given the Rockets a major boost all season long. But it remains one of the least talked about developments on one of the league's least talked about contenders.
As unquantifiable as some parts of his impact have been, it's good to finally shine a light on all Terry's done this year.
