Jared Dudley: Giving Thousands in Gifts, Blowing Fan's Minds

When Jared Dudley returned to the valley, many fans were ecstatic, and for much more than simply his basketball skills.

The Phoenix Suns forward made headlines recently for purchasing 500 tickets to the Phoenix Mercury’s playoff game, and giving the tickets away to fans. Typical Jared Dudley.

Since arriving, Dudley picked right back up where he left off in Phoenix, giving back to and engaging directly with the fans.

In just a couple of months, here are some of the cool things Dudley has done for the fans.

Note that some of these are clearly team coordinated promotions, so it is true Dudley may or may not have actually paid the cost (or in some cases certainly didn’t). Still though, these are things he helped the fans get.

July 29th, 2016– Gives away 120 jerseys to fans: Jared Dudley facetime’d with the first people in line, six fans that showed up at 4 am. NBA.com has Suns jerseys for men starting at $70, making that $8,400 minimum in free jerseys.

Plus, everyone that showed up got a pair of Suns tickets. Dudley can’t let fans go home empty-handed:

Go to his twitter and you will see dozens of excited fans responding to Dudley – and Dudley responding back. As countless people on twitter would agree, Dudley is a class act.

September 28th, 2016: Dudley buys an unknown amount of college kids dinner.

September 29th, 2016: Jared Dudley buys 500 tickets to the Phoenix Mercury’s game 3 playoff game in their conference finals. With taxes and fees, $12 a ticket is a conservative estimate, and puts this at $6,000 worth of free tickets.

That’s over $15,000 in free stuff to Arizona sport fans, plus hundreds of great memories for the fans.
