Indiana Pacers to Finish Off Basketball Day in Indiana


Indiana’s first Basketball Day starts early and finishes off with the Indiana Pacers hosting the Portland Trail Blazers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Indiana Pacers are celebrating the teams of the 1970s tonight as they host the Portland Trail Blazers, but that is merely the main event in a long day of basketball for the Hoosier State.
Even to an outsider, it is apparent that the state of Indiana is crazy about basketball, and that’s why they’re having their first Basketball Day.
How crazy?
It says something about Indiana when the Pacers wear a jersey based on a fictional high school (which was based on Milan) and it becomes a runaway best seller in the team shop.
Basketball is something special in the state of Indiana.
Fox Sports Indiana has a full slate ready to celebrate today, including a trio of high school games, Butler vs Cincinnati, and the Pacers vs the Portland Trail Blazers at 7 p.m.
FSI is getting things started at 8 a.m. and keeps things rolling past 10 p.m.
So if you need a basketball fix — from the high school to the professional level — then today is a great day for you.
