How would Spurs replace Aron Baynes?

Aron Baynes is a solid fourth NBA big man. Nothing more, nothing less. Re-signing him barely cracks San Antonio's summer to-do list, but if they do in fact let him go, a replacement is necessary.

Here's what a couple writers over on SB Nation's Spurs blog Pounding the Rock had to say about that very scenario:

"Well, he won't be cheaper, but a guy who I like is Brandan Wright. I think he could be pretty destructive playing with Manu. The Mavs had the best offense in the NBA when he was there. When he plays with smart offensive players around him, he's really good. On the other side of the coin, a strict defense-and-rebounding guy, I think someone like Alexis Ajinca could be decent. He was in the summer league for the Spurs a couple years ago and had his best season for the Pelicans last year. Obviously he has ties to Parker and Diaw."

The 28-year-old New Zealand native averaged 6.6 points and 4.5 rebounds last season, setting career-high marks across the board.

But if another team comes along and offers a generous deal, the Spurs won't hesitate to replace him with one of the many other serviceable big men expected to enter the market this summer.
