Hornets' Kemba Walker cleared for basketball activities

Published Mar. 5, 2015 12:43 p.m. ET

The Charlotte Hornets have been without Kemba Walker since the last week of January, when Walker underwent surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee. In that time, the Hornets have done well to stay in the hunt for the final playoff berths in the Eastern Conference. Mo Williams has been spectacular for the Hornets, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has anchored the defense. And things are going to get even better for the Hornets very soon, as Walker has been cleared for practice and will be back on the court in time to shake off the rust before the postseason.
