Fisher expected to play for Lakers at Spurs

Los Angeles Lakers guard Derek Fisher is expected to play Sunday against San Antonio despite a sprained left elbow.

Fisher was injured in a tussle for a rebound with Kwame Brown during the Lakers' win over Charlotte on Friday night. The five-time NBA champion point guard has played in 476 consecutive regular-season games, the NBA's longest active streak.

Fisher got treatment on his elbow Saturday, and the Lakers announced he was probable Sunday for the game at NBA-leading San Antonio.

Lakers forward Matt Barnes is less likely to play after irritating a nerve in his injured right leg during pregame warmups. Friday's game was supposed to be Barnes' comeback from a 25-game absence following right knee surgery. Barnes will be re-evaluated Sunday.
