Evan Turner's knee injury is 'nothing crazy'

Published Nov. 22, 2015 9:03 p.m. ET

Evan Turner's knee hasn't been 100 percent since the preseason, and even thought it won't receive as large a spotlight as Marcus Smart's injury, if Turner misses time it'd be a pretty big deal for the Boston Celtics.

But unless anything changes sometime soon, it doesn't look like that will happen. Here's what Turner had to say, per MassLive's Jay King:

Turner is averaging 8.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game, but his real impact is felt and seen in Boston's on/off numbers.

"It was just swollen from when I took the hit last month in the preseason. I still played on it. The worst it felt was probably like in OKC and Houston," he said. "But other than that I've just been icing it. One of our assistant trainers was just asking, like, 'Are you having problems with it?' I mean, I guess. But it's nothing that should be hurting throughout the season."
