Eric Bledsoe calls this season 'a disaster' for Suns

Eric Bledsoe is out for the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery on his left knee. But he's been around his teammates lately, and is trying to provide words of encouragement as the Suns struggle in his absence.

He's also not afraid to tell it like it is.

“I just watch our guys and tell them what I see as a leader of the team,” Bledsoe said, via Paul Coro of AZCentral.com. “This team pretty much has been a disaster. Everybody sees that. We definitely can take steps in the right direction by everyone playing the right way, working on their games, especially our young players getting a chance to get experience. There are some positives we can take out of it.

“I pretty much have seen this happen before, where teams get beat in or pretty much lose every night and then come back next year or a couple years down the line and be the team beating on other teams."

It would seem as though a major roster overhaul would be needed to see the kind of turnaround that Bledsoe is describing. The Suns were just 12-19 with Bledsoe in the lineup, and without him, the team has just one win in its last 12 contests.
