Randy Wittman coached the Washington Wizards on Saturday night after learning that morning that his older brother Rick had died overnight. The Wizards pulled off a 123-122 victory at the Houston Rockets, and Wittman was understandably emotional as he met the media afterward.

"He was here," Wittman said of his brother. "You know, he watches every game from a La-Z-Boy. And he's watching up in heaven from a La-Z-Boy."

While talking about his team's effort, Wittman said: "I can't be more proud of them -- and proud of my brother."

In October, Wittman lost his close friend, former NBA coach Flip Saunders, who died of cancer.
