Dwyane Wade's 14-year-old son Zaire might be a better 3-point shooter than his dad
'Tis the season for NBA superstars to watch their offspring destroy the competition on the basketball court, apparently.
Yesterday, we showed you LeBron James playing the part of proud papa as his sons Bryce and LeBron Jr. dominated at the Buckeye Prep Invitational. Not to be outdone, LeBron's former Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade was spotted supporting his son Zaire at the Nigthrydas Elite Invitational in Miami.
And you're going to be pretty impressed by young Zaire. The 14-year-old and future member of the college recruiting class of 2020 flashed his incredible court vision and a 3-point jumper that looks even wetter than his father's:
No, really. The older Wade is a career 28.6 percent shooter from deep in the regular season. With how easily Zaire's knocking down triples, we have to imagine he's shooting a higher percentage than that.
In fact, there's kind of a little bit of Steph Curry in Zaire's game:
Or it might be more fitting to say that Zaire has a bit of his old man's game -- you know, back from D-Wade's younger days.
We're sure D-Wade hears all about that disparity at home from Zaire, who also gives his dad a hard time about his lack of dunks:
Just wait until Zaire is throwing it down. He'll probably never let his father hear the end of it.
