Did NBA 2K16's new trailer reveal the Hawks' new floor? (PHOTO)
NBA 2K16 released it's first full-length gameplay trailer on Monday, and may have revealed the Atlanta Hawks' new floor in the process.
One clip in particular -- a Kyle Korver 3-pointer in the left corner -- shows the new Philips Arena floor, which features a black curtain around the court, and volt green "Hawks" and volt green and red "Atlanta" lettering on perpendicular angles of the sideline and baseline. There is also a triangular feather pattern, shaded with a touch of gray, along the black curtain.
Peep the design:
While the Hawks wouldn't confirm that this indeed is their new floor, one would assume NBA 2K -- the most popular basketball video game on the market by far -- wouldn't be promoting a false court in its marquee gameplay trailer. If that's the case, then this is going to be one of the more interesting and eccentric -- not unlike the team's new jerseys -- courts in the NBA next season.
