The Denver Nuggets had an exciting offseason altogether, and with it coming to an end, it their rebuilding process also coming to an end?

The training camp is officially underway, and the Nuggets, who had the seventh pick in the last two drafts, could finally be starting to inch their way out of the rebuilding process.

It seems that they could begin to exit this process with teams like the Sixers and the Lakers. Unlike those teams, the Nuggets have one key that will help them excel this season. The Nuggets have veteran skill and presence. They have steady mentor Mike Miller, who will be quoted on his role later, and many other players with much veteran experience.

The Vets

Veteran guard Mike Miller agreed to a two-year deal this summer, and he helped the Denver Nuggets attempt to reel in superstar Dwyane Wade.

According to USA Today, Miller said this:

Being a dinosaur in this league, and seeing everything that I have, I’ve been a part of really talented teams that have won 23 games. I’ve been a part of talented teams that have won championships,” said Miller, who agreed to a two-year deal in July. “What’s the difference? To me, it’s the culture and having that understanding in the locker room where you can hold guys accountable. Those are things you have to start developing.

Miller is a seasoned veteran and will bring a veteran presence to the locker room which will be a great site to see. His dismal 7.9 minutes per game last season seems to indicate that he has completely accepted the veteran role.

This is opposed to Jameer Nelson, who views himself as a constant contributor and less of a mentor. In Jameer’s defense, he did averaged 26.6 minutes per game last season and will secure the backup point guard role now. But, that could just increase his actual impact on these young players.

Whether they like it or not, these two have an immense impact on the locker room cutler, and this impact, like Miller said, will either help the team or hurt the team.

    The Youth

The Denver Nuggets have seven players that are currently on there roster that were born during or after 1994.

This team has not yet hit their ceiling which is scary. The problem that most think is wrong with this team is that they do not have a superstar. But they do. They could have two stars and several role players.

Nikola Jokic, who is also known as the Serbian Sensation, has had an incredible summer. He has shown his superstar potential over and over. He dominated the US during the Olympics as he had 25 points. He was also able to make the All-Rookie first team.

His teammate Emmanuel Mudiay could also be due for a breakout game. He already proved his worth also. His post-all star campaign saw him erupt throughout that latter half of the season. Under three turnovers per game and over 10 points per game is a solid second half for Emmanuel Mudiay.

He is accompanied with youngster Gary Harris and Jusuf Nurkic. Both of these two have incredible their potential as role players on this team. Mudiay and Jokic have proven star to superstar potential, but the teams use of these role players will contribute greatly to their development.

Along with all three rookies yet to develop completely, this Denver Nuggets team will be set and ready to erupt in this season and for the next several seasons.
