The Denver Nuggets are looking like they are still rebuilding, but the season is very long.
The Denver Nuggets have had a troublesome season.
After showing flashes of potential, they have fell down hard within the past week. Losing to teams like the Brooklyn Nets is not a sign of playoff contender, not even an 8th seed team.
However, not all hope is lost. The Nuggets had the toughest stretch of 10 games to start the year and were only blown out in 2 of those games.
The Nuggets have been able to keep many games close this year, but late game execution and lack of experience have reared their ugly heads.

There are a couple ways to possibly correct this.

Coach Malone may be on the hot seat.
One way is to possibly remove Malone as the head coach. This is a hot topic in Nuggets Nation as there are mixed feelings about him.

Fans either feel he needs to be fired as soon as possible, or he needs to be the long tenured coach Denver needs. There seems to be no in between with how the Nuggets faithful feels on Malone.
Many of his rotations and decisions this season have been questionable to say the least.
Not playing Kenneth Faried at all in the Brooklyn game is the latest in his follies.
While he has many fans scratching their head, there is one more way that the Denver Nuggets can turn this year around.

It may not hurt to toy with the current rotations and see what happens.
The last way is to shake up the lineups. A new starting rotation may be in order especially if Emmanuel Mudiay continues to struggle.
He may thrive coming off the bench with the second unit, much like Nikola Jokic who struggled at the beginning of the year in the “Jurkic,” lineup.
Jokic is now starting to find his niche now after plenty of fans were wondering if the Joker was just a one hit wonder in this summer’s Olympics.
Obviously this doesn’t guarantee that Mudiay will start to blossom, but it may give him an opportunity to see what he can do in another rotation where he may mesh better than in the starting lineup.
Wilson Chandler has also been great for Denver. As much as every Denver fan would love to see him win Sixth Man of the Year, it may be necessary to insert him into the starting rotation since Gallinari has been far too inconsistent.
This may be what Denver needs to do to turn their season around, but only time will tell what Malone will do going forward.
