Clippers waive Mumford and Wright

LOS ANGELES (AP) The Clippers have waived guard Xavier Mumford and forward Dorell Wright.

The moves announced Wednesday reduced the team's roster to 15.

Munford appeared in two preseason games, scoring four points. He was an All-Star in the D-League with Bakersfield last season, and played 14 games with Memphis to end the season, averaging 5.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists.

Wright also played in two preseason games. The 12-year NBA veteran has career averages of 8.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists. He spent last season playing in China before signing with Miami to end the season.
