The Denver Nuggets play their final game of this homestead on Tuesday against the Chicago Bulls. Can the Nuggets get their third win in the past four games?
The Nuggets put together a solid performance against the Utah Jazz on Sunday night, as the Nuggets won 105-91. Also, It was Will Barton’s first game back after a nine-game absence.
Now they have the Chicago Bulls up on the schedule. The Bulls this season are currently third in the Eastern Conference with a record of 9-5.
This will be the first time Wade has returned to Denver since the Nuggets tried to court him in the offeseason. Wade has been averaging 18.1 points this season for the Bulls.
If the Nuggets can win this one, it would be their first time winning back-to-back games this season. After starting off slow this season and losing some truly heartbreaking games, a win could reinvigorate the season.

Assists and Turnover Numbers
Last game, the Nuggets only turned the ball over nine times! That is very impressive for a team that leads the league in turnovers per game.
The Nuggets took care of the ball, which resulted in more efficient possessions.

Emmanuel Mudiay, who has been playing much better as of late, didn’t turn the ball over once. This is the second game this season that Mudiay hasn’t turned the ball over. If Mudiay, who is plagued by turnovers, is taking care of the ball, it bodes well for the team.
The Nuggets also had 31 assists last game. When the Nuggets pass the ball around and find good shots, they look awesome.
Mudiay and Danilo Gallinari led the team with eight assists. The team looked very selfless on Sunday night. Perhaps Mike Malone has been drilling this into their head.
Low turnovers and high assists numbers translate to wins.
In the game against the Bulls, the Nuggets hope to mirror those numbers from the game against the Jazz. The Bulls, though, have very good defensive players in Rajon Rondo, Jimmy Butler, and Dwyane Wade.
Next game we will see if the Nuggets offense has progressed and can continue to limit their turnovers and find the open shooters.

The Bench
Wilson Chandler is perhaps the Nuggets’ best player this season. It always seems like he makes the right decisions and can score when he needs to.
Chandler is also a bench player for the Nuggets, but he performs like a starter.
The Nuggets’ bench is one of the best attributes about the team. The bench provided 54 of the 105 points scored against the Utah Jazz. Wilson was responsible for 17 of those points.
Jamal Murray, though, scored 18 points in 23 minutes off the bench against the Jazz. In fact, Murray led all Nuggets scorers that night.
The rookie started the season off rough. In his first three games he shot 0 for 16 from the field. Since then Murray has really turned it on. His scoring is now up to 7.8 points per game, while shooting 39.7 percent from three-point range.
In Tuesday’s game, the Nuggets bench needs to continue their play. If the starters do well, then the bench needs to keep the pressure up on the other team. Even if the starters are not doing so well, the bench needs to pick up the slack.
Hopefully Chandler can continue his solid play this game and Murray gets his shots to drop.
