Charlotte Hornets Vs. Miami Heat: Preason Game Six
The Charlotte Hornets face off against the Miami Heat tonight at seven pm. in the Queen City. They are hoping to get a win in order to carry their momentum into the regular season.
The Charlotte Hornets are hoping to close the preseason on a three game winning streak with two games remaining. This may be hard because the injury bug has officially struck the team. Marvin Williams broke his finger last game, Cody Zeller is still out with a bruised knee, Brian Roberts is out with an injury, and Kemba Walker missed the shoot around this morning to have his knee examined.
However, there is also good news to share. The Hornets are trying something new and streaming the game online to viewers within a 75 mile radius of the Spectrum Center. The link is here.
Last Game:
The Charlotte Hornets controlled the pace for most of the game. The Hornets ended the opening frame up twelve and seemed to take their foot off the gas by halftime. Their twelve point lead diminished to three by the sound of the halftime buzzer. The game ended up going into overtime as the Chicago Bulls made a surge to tie the game. Coach Clifford gave the young guys the minutes in overtime and they were able to secure the win.

Marco Scorches the Nets
Marco Belinelli finally found his shooting touch last game. He had 14 points on 37.5% shooting, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists while coming off the bench last time. His off ball movement was on full display last game. Belinelli made several cuts to the rim that led to seven free throw attempts.
Frank Takes no Prisoners
Frank Kaminsky is back at it again with the smooth post moves. He had a solid game once again. Kaminsky put up 14 points on 28.6% shooting while nailing 3 three-pointers. He also made a few more haters in Chi-Town with his pregame fashion decision. This lead to a twitter war between Kaminsky and the Chicago Cubs. I’ll let you decide who won the exchange.
Matchup to Watch:
Roy Hibbert vs Hassan Whiteside
Whiteside torched the Charlotte Hornets during the playoffs last year. This motivated Michael Jordan and Rich Cho to look for a legitimate rim-protector that could anchor the defense. The answer to their search came in the form of Roy Hibbert. Hibbert isn’t the defensive force that he was during his all-star season with the Indiana Pacers, but he is still a formidable force.
This isn’t the same Heat team that the Hornets played last year. Dwayne Wade, Luol Deng, and Joe Johnson all left during free agency, but the Heat were able to retain Whiteside. Now we get to see if Hibbert can earn his pay and live up to his billing as a defensive stopper.
