Charles Barkley got over 127,000 calories of donuts for his birthday
Charles Barkley celebrates his 53rd birthday on Saturday, so his teammates at TNT decided to celebrate on Thursday while the "Inside the NBA" crew was together by surprising him with a special gift.
A shipment of 53 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts.
Yes, 53 DOZEN DONUTS. Even Barkley was stunned when he saw the surprise, stopping in his tracks before asking rhetorically, "What are we gonna do with all these donuts?"

A quick Internet search finds that one original glazed Krispy Kreme donut contains roughly 200 calories, which means Barkley received 127,200 calories of donuts for turning 53 years old.
And that's assuming all 53 boxes are original glazed donuts, which they most likely aren't because how boring. So depending on the styles of donuts — for instance, a chocolate-iced and cream-filled Krispy Kreme contains roughly 340 calories — the birthday order could soar to well over 200,000 calories.
Good grief, what are we trying to do to Chuck?

This birthday surprise comes after the NBA released their All-Star Game emojis last week.
What was Barkley's?
A partially eaten donut, of course!
I don't know when Charles Barkley became synonymous with the donut, but I'm glad to see he enjoyed his birthday surprise — and that he had a lot of TNT colleagues around to help him with all that dough. We need a healthy Chuck around as long as possible.
Many happy returns, Chuck.
