The Boston Celtics are sending rookie guard Lester Hudson to Maine of the NBA Development League.

The team announced Tuesday that it was assigning its second-round draft pick to the Red Claws for the second time this season.

Hudson, who played at Tennessee-Martin, has 11 points, five assists and five rebounds over 51 minutes in 13 games for the team with the NBA's best record. Coach Doc Rivers said he wanted Hudson to get a better chance to play.
