Celtics reportedly dangling No. 3 pick for some big-name players
The Boston Celtics apparently are doing all they can to move the No. 3 pick in Thursday's NBA Draft. But so far, teams are not biting.
The Celtics have offered trade packages that include the No. 3 pick to multiple teams but have been rebuffed, ESPN reported Tuesday.
According to the report, Boston has inquired about Bulls' All-Star guard Jimmy Butler, Jazz guard Gordon Hayward and Bucks teammates Jabari Parker and Khris Middleton. Many consider this year to be a two-player draft with Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram believed the cream of the crop. That diminishes the trade value of Boston's selection.
The Sixers, who hold the No. 1 pick and are expected to take Simmons, have dangled Jahlil Okafor or Nerlens Noel for Boston's pick but the Celtics haven't shown interest, according to the report.
