Barkley: Spurs fans 'suck,' warns 'I'll beat they a** down'
Charles Barkley may not be up for a fight with Shaq, but he's certainly comfortable trading blows with San Antonio Spurs fans.
Barkley took his latest shot following Wednesday night's Spurs win over the Thunder, declaring that Spurs fans "suck" and warning that "I'll beat they ass down."
"I don't know if you can hear these San Antonio fans telling me that I suck," Barkley said during a postgame interview with the Spurs' Danny Green, "and I just want them to know they suck too!"
After getting some heat from Green and the other "NBA on TNT" stars, Barkley added, "It's easy to say words, but they won't come in my face and say anything, 'cause I will beat they ass down!"
Barkley has had a field day poking fun at the women of San Antonio. In fact, he's had several of them -- and he's refused to apologize for any of them.
Among his barbs:
"There's some big 'ol women down there. ... That's a gold mine for Weight Watchers"
"Victoria is definitely a secret ... they can't wear no Victoria's Secret down there."
San Antonio star Tim Duncan's girlfriend Vanessa Macias and several other ladies rocked "Barkley Don't Know" shirts during Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, while another fan zinged Barkley by painting him into a hilarious mural.
