76ers coach Collins likes new-look roster

Philadelphia 76ers coach Doug Collins says he expects a different Kwame Brown than he had the first time the two were paired up in Washington.

Brown is back playing for Collins and will be the starting center for the Sixers.

The well-traveled Brown was the No. 1 overall pick out of high school in the 2001 draft by the Washington Wizards. He never lived up this potential and has been called a bust.

Collins says he wishes he could go back and ''be a better coach and a better mentor'' to Brown.

He gets a second chance this season.

The Sixers acquired Brown, Dorell Wright, Nick Young, and Royal Ivey this summer. They also added draft-night pickups Maurice Harkless and Arnett Moultrie.

Collins says in order to accommodate Brown at center, Spencer Hawes will shift to power forward.
