Vote now: Who will be the next first-time winner in the Cup Series?
Ryan Blaney added his name to the list of first-time winners in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series this season with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Austin Dillon.
Blaney battled Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick to get the checkered flag at Pocono. Stenhouse had a similar battle with Busch and Jamie McMurray at Talladega. Dillon pushed his fuel mileage to the limit to beat Jimmie Johnson and hold off a charge from Busch and Martin Truex Jr.
While the list of drivers seeking their first Cup Series win shrinks, there are still some promising names who have a chance to score their first victory before the 2017 season ends.
At the top of that list should be Chase Elliott, who nearly missed several times in his first Cup Series season and has come close again in 2017. He finished second in both Michigan races in 2016 and will likely be a contender again this weekend.
Joining Elliott on the list are the three Rookie of the Year candidates who've all shown glimpses in their freshman campaigns.
Erik Jones posted a career-best finish of third-place at Pocono on Sunday and continues to put his No. 77 Furniture Row Racing Toyota in contention each week.
Daniel Suarez overcame a bit of a learning curve in the first few weeks but has posted several top-10 finishes along with a career-best finish of sixth.
Finally, Ty Dillon continually outperforms expectations in the No. 13 Germain Racing Chevrolet and nearly pulled off the upset two weeks ago at Dover.
There are a handful of other drivers who are still seeking their first Cup Series win, too, but its these four who have the greatest chance of getting to Victory Lane sooner than later.
