In most cases, the list reads just as you would think it should: The top drivers in the sport have generally been the ones to excel in the special event now known as the NASCAR Sprint All-Star race.

Jeff Gordon has four Cup championships and three all-star wins. Jimmie Johnson has three Cup titles and a pair of all-star victories. Champions Darrell Waltrip, Bill Elliott, Dale Earnhardt and Terry Labonte have all won this race as well. Top-notch contenders such as Mark Martin and Davey Allison have also hoisted the trophy at the track now known as Lowe's Motor Speedway.
