It seems to be engagement season.
To help celebrate and join in on the fun, a Toronto Blue Jays fan enlisted the help of outfielder Kevin Pillar to pop the question to his girlfriend before Game 1 of the American League Division Series on Thursday:
Thanks @KPILLAR4, she said "yes" outside gate 5 #ComeTogether #mlb @KatieBookman @BlueJays @Sportsnet @MLBNetwork pic.twitter.com/dN30jzbS4v

He even printed the picture out and brought it to the game with them:
I put a ring on her. Thanks @KPILLAR4! #cometogether #mlbpostseason @timandsid @MLBNetwork pic.twitter.com/xzRoD5h0p5

Naturally, Pillar was happy for the couple:
Glad she said yes!!! ??? https://t.co/gMzUNi2byh

Hopefully the happiness of their engagement helped overshadow the loss for the Blue Jays. They'll hope to even the series vs. the Texas Rangers in Game 2 on Friday at 12:30 p.m. ET.
