Mariners go bonkers for unbelievable comeback from 10 runs down

The final score looks more like a result from a Seahawks-Chargers game after a wild 16-13 scoring bonanza that set records for both teams.
After falling behind 12-2 after five frames, the Mariners closed the gap to 12-7 and then in the seventh they bled the Padres to death with singles (8 singles in the inning) en route to a 16-12 lead. The M's didn't register a single extra base hit during the 9-run outburst.
According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the 10-run deficit was the largest ever overcome by the Mariners in team history and it also marks the biggest blown lead in a loss by the Padres.
And take a gander at the scorecard:
Also via Elias, Seattle became the first team to win a game in which they trailed by at least 10 runs in the fifth inning or later since the 2001 Indians rallied from a 14-2 deficit to defeat... the Mariners.
If you're a Padres fan who passed out after San Diego went up 12-2, it's going to be a weird day.
