Lance McCullers had a phenomenal rookie season for the Houston Astros in 2015. The 22-year-old right-hander posted a 3.22 ERA and 129 strikeouts in 125 2/3 innings.
So how's he preparing to beat that in 2016? By working on his explosiveness with some pretty high box jumps.
After first nailing a 59.5-inch jump, Lance bumped it up to 61.5 inches and nailed that one, too:
The good news for Lance: He's got Bryce Harper's 55-inch jump beat easily.

The bad news: Brett Lawrie is on the record this offseason at 64 inches.
