The Football Writers Association of America has given Penn State defensive end Carl Nassib more recognition this week as it tapped him as a finalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award.

Nassib is a first-year starter who leads the nation in sacks (15.5) and tackles for loss (19.5) so far this season.

He has already been named a finalist for the Lombardi Award, which goes to the best lineman in the country.
