NFL says Patriots' substitutions weren't against rules

The NFL said the Patriots did not break any rules when using a four-lineman configuration against the Ravens in Saturday's AFC divisional-playoff victory.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh drew an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in third quarter to complain about Patriots' substitution "trick" that Harbaugh said didn't give the Ravens an opportunity to identify eligible receivers.

But according the league rules, the Patriots didn't break any rules.
