Unlike Friday’s opening NASCAR Sprint Cup practice at Talladega Superspeedway, the final practice session of the weekend featured primarily single-car runs. Team Penske’s Brad Keselowski was the fastest of the 30 drivers who hit the track.

Keselowski’s fastest lap was 48.752 seconds at 196.423 miles per hour. Ryan Blaney was second, followed by Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne, Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch, Danica Patrick, Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon.

Joey Logano was the only Chase driver to run practice who was outside the top 10, ending the session 19th on the speed charts.

Stewart ran the most laps of the session, 25, while Earnhardt Jr. was the only driver to run 15 consecutive laps.

A host of teams opted to sit out the final 55-minute session, including all four Joe Gibbs Racing cars, Ryan Newman and Martin Truex Jr.

The Sprint Cup Series cars will not be on the track again until 4:15 p.m. ET on Saturday, when they will set the field in qualifying. Following Saturday’s qualifying session, NASCAR will impound the cars and the teams will not be allowed to work on them prior to the race.
