Wins Cook Out 400 Pole Preece won the pole for the Cook Out 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway on Friday. He turned a fast lap of 121.381 mph.

Impact The driver of the No. 60 Ford built on a good practice and surprised some of the top stars in NASCAR with a strong qualifying performance at Richmond Raceway. Preece would advance to the final round and knock off Tyler Reddick to claim pole for the Cook Out 400. It was his first pole of the season and second-career pole position. He'll be a Top-10 threat Saturday night in Richmond.

Impact The driver of the No. 60 Ford would be the big mover of the day at Iowa Speedway. Preece started 33rd on the grid and would patiently move his way forward through the field. He would finally break into the Top 10 near the end of stage 2 and continue moving forward late. Preece would get around Bubba Wallace in the late laps and earn a strong fifth-place finish in the Iowa Corn 350. It was his third Top-5 finish of the season.
