Check out the top 10 results after the end of Stage 1: © John Harrelson © 2016 John Harrelson 1 Martin Truex Jr., 10 (1 playoff point) A wild finish to the stage worked out for Truex as he pulled away in the final laps of the stage. © Barry Cantrell/LAT Images www.latphoto.co.uk Barry Cantrell 2 Denny Hamlin, 9 With five wins at the short track, it's no surprise that Hamlin runs up front at Martinsville. 3 Kyle Busch, 8 A lot of cars were moving around late in the stage and Busch made his way up to second. 4 Brad Keselowski, 7 Keselowski was setup to finish the stage in second but Hamlin made contact with him and knocked him back a few spots. 5 Chase Elliott, 6 Elliott grabs more stage points with some solid moves after starting on the outside row. 6 Kyle Larson, 5 Larson continues his streak of top 10 stage finishes. He's the only driver who has grabbed stage points every stage. 7 Ryan Blaney, 4 Blaney hasn't made too many friends so far at Martinsville but he has a fast car and has moved drivers out of his way to get toward the front. 8 Jimmie Johnson, 3 The active wins leader at Martinsville put together a strong showing to drive his way up after starting in the middle of the pack. 9 Austin Dillon, 2 Dillon held off a late push of drivers on the restart to grab some stage points. 10 Clint Bowyer, 1 With a bunch of drivers fighting and making contact in front of him, Bowyer made a power move to grab the final spot in the opening stage.
