Impact That's back-to-back games for Washington where he has averaged 8.0 yards per carry, which obviously pops. This is also his first lost fumble. Maybe skip Washington against Texas A&M, but ending the season with MTSU and UTEP is good for the back.

Seth McGowan - Biggest game of the season McGowan ran 15 times for 113 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes for 47 yards against WKU on Saturday.
Impact This is McGowan's first 100-yard game of the season, and he got back in the end zone for the first time since NMSU's second game. The former Oklahoma recruit has averaged 5.2 yards per carry, and notably has not fumbled once. While McGowan's next game is against Texas A&M, after that things look good for him.

Brandon Nunez - Remarkably bad in relief Nunez saw some action in relief of Santino Marucci against WKU on Saturday. He missed on both of his passes, and while he ran eight times for 34 yards, he also lost two fumbles.
Impact Marucci has been pulled on multiple occasions, but he keeps getting returned to the starting role. Why? Because of games like this from Nunez, who managed to lose two fumbles while barely seeing the field.

Santino Marucci - Throws TD, two INTs Marucci went 10-for-20 for 129 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions against WKU on Saturday. He also ran eight times for 20 yards.
Impact Marucci retook the starting role for the Aggies, and he was bad. That makes sense, because he has been bad every time he's taken the field save for against New Mexico's terrible defense. The only thing, though, is that backup Brandon Nunez appeared in this game and was somehow way worse. Marucci is the starter by default.

Impact That's back-to-back games with a touchdown for Messer. He's built upon last season well, even if he remains in a secondary role. Through nine games he has four touchdowns, and his 495 yards are more than his 484 from all of last season.
