Impact Nakos' update suggests that LSU will not use Nussmeier at Oklahoma, with the Tigers instead opting for using Michael Van Buren again despite his Week 13 struggles against Western Kentucky. In that sense, Nussmeier would not only log another DNP but have only one more opportunity for collegiate action, that being the Tigers' bowl game they barely qualified for earlier in 2025.

Impact In one of LSU's relatively easier games this season, Van Buren struggled in Week 13, logging a 1-1 TD-INT ratio and a fumble in a narrow 13-10 win. It would make sense if the Tigers revert to using a healthy Garrett Nussmeier (abdomen), but him healthy does not appear to be the case. So in that sense, Van Buren would be in line for another start and a chance to redeem himself.

Impact It was, unsurprisingly, a tough day for the WKU offense in Death Valley. Rodney Tisdale turned to Hutchinson quite a bit, targeting him 10 times. While Hutchinson couldn't do much with all those targets, eight catches against LSU is still impressive.

Marvis Parrish - Rushes for 32 yards Parrish ran seven times for 32 yards Saturday against LSU.

Impact Parrish also had three catches, but for only three yards. The true freshman broke off a 16-yard run on the road against LSU, which is probably a cool experience. He'll likely be in his usual secondary role next week against JSU.
