Gavin Holmes - Grabs TD against Texas State Holmes caught three passes for 46 yards and a touchdown on three targets in Saturday's 42-7 win over Texas State.
Impact Holmes ended up being Baylor's top pass-catcher for the first time this season. This likely occurred as both the tight end, Ben Sims, and wide receiver, Monaray Baldwin, were held out of the game with concussions. Both Sims and Baldwin are expected back soon, so look for Holmes to go back to a reserve role. Baylor will play at Iowa State next week.

Craig Williams - Records TD against the Bobcats Williams rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown on eight carries while corralling both of his targets for five yards in Saturday's 42-7 win over Texas State.
Impact Williams had a decent game, but the true freshman Richard Reese was the story with 19 carries for 156 yards and three touchdowns. Both Williams and Reese received more play as Taye McWilliams was held out with a concussion. With McWilliams expected back soon, it will be interesting to see how the Baylor backfield shakes out. Baylor will play at Iowa State next week.

Blake Shapen - Notches rushing score in win Shapen completed 15 of 26 passes for 184 yards and a touchdown with an interception to go along with 42 yards and a score on three carries in Saturday's 42-7 win over Texas State.
Impact Shapen now has multiple touchdowns in two of three games, including a pair of rushing scores. Take out a tough match-up with BYU and Shapen has been a reliable fantasy option at quarterback. Baylor won't see too many defenses on the level of BYU, so expect Shapen to have a respectable year. Baylor will open up conference play at Iowa State next week.
