Stone Earle - Demoted to backup Earle will serve as Marshall's backup for Saturday's game versus Appalachian State, Luke Creasy of The Huntington Herald-Dispatch reports.

Impact Earle has been benched in favor of Braylon Braxton ahead of Saturday's matchup. So far this season, Earle has completed 25 of his 41 pass attempts for 274 yards and five touchdowns.

Braylon Braxton - Starting Saturday Braxton is starting at quarterback for Saturday's game against Appalachian State, Luke Creasy of The Huntington Herald-Dispatch reports.

Impact Braxton is getting his first start of the season in place of Stone Earle. Earle has completed just about 55 percent of his passes for 537 yards, seven touchdowns and one interception. Braxton, a Tulsa transfer with starting experience, is set to take over under center and could stick around as the starter with a good showing.
