Roach previews Pacquiao’s big fight

Manny Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach, talked with each week leading up to Pacquiao’s welterweight title fight Saturday with Joshua Clottey (on HBO pay-per-view).

This is the final in a four-part series. Part I | Part II | Part III
What’s the plan for a few days before the fight

We might work out just to maintain. What’s the atmosphere in Texas compared to Vegas?

Roach: We came to the hotel. Everybody in town knows about the fight. It’s exactly the same. The buzz is really, really there. Any concerns about fighting outdoors?

Roach: The stage is just right for Manny Pacquiao. He loves the big picture.
What does Manny have to do to win Saturday?

Are there any plans for Manny to test Clottey’s power like he did against Cotto?

If he wants to test it, he will do that. We talked about it. No plans, but you never know.
Manny’s been dominant his past few fights. Are there any concerns about making adjustments if the fight gets tough?

Roach: No. We’ll well prepared for whatever he brings. So we’ll make the right adjustments at the right time.
Can we get a prediction?

Yeah. We’ll win stop him before the 12th round is over. We’ll be the first person to stop Clottey.
