Report: Falcons investigated for allegedly piping in crowd noise during games

The NFL has reportedly been investigating the Atlanta Falcons for alleged usage of artificial crowd noise over the past two seasons.

Citing sources, ESPN reports that the league is expected to discipline the Falcons with a fine and possibly the loss of a draft pick.

"We were informed during the season that the league office is looking into crowd noise during our games," a Falcons team spokesman told ESPN. "We have cooperated fully with them, and we're awaiting the outcome."

The report states that Atlanta has been accused of piping in noise when opposing teams were in the huddle, trying to call a play.

The alleged strategy didn't equal wins, as the Falcons have gone 6-10 in the Georgia Dome over the past two seasons.
