Randy Orton Celebrates Title Win at WWE TLC (Photo)

At WWE TLC, Randy Orton would win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship with the Wyatt Family, and celebrated afterward.

When Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt first started feuding in August, these two eventually aligning didn’t seem like a realistic possibility. They are two polar opposite characters, one fans would never think could get on the same page. This became the case during a Wyatt vs. Kane match in October, as the Apex Predator shockingly helped the Eater of Worlds win his No Disqualification bout.

Over the next few weeks, it still didn’t seem like this alliance was a thing. But, on multiple occasions, Orton showed his allegiance. This had all been with Luke Harper seeming suspicious about the new member’s intentions.

Well, what happened at WWE TLC may have changed that notion. Harper actually helped Orton and Wyatt defeat Heath Slater and Rhyno for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. The long-time ally to Bray Wyatt even got the chance to hold both tag titles in the middle of the ring.

Afterward, the three Wyatt Family members would pose backstage in celebration. Orton posted a photo of this to his Twitter account with a brief caption:

This could be the start of a long and intriguing title reign for Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, and Luke Harper. It’s an unusual trio, but a cohesive one, something that will be fun to follow over the next few weeks.

The first step may be a rematch with Slater and Rhyno, something the new family should win. They would then move onto the other teams in the division, with American Alpha maybe as a target for a future title match. Chad Gable and Jason Jordan lost their title shot to Wyatt and Orton on the go-home episode of SmackDown before TLC. Other options include the Hype Bros and Breezango (if you consider them faces).

So, we’ll see how this cohesive Wyatt Family does over the next few weeks. Randy Orton’s role will be one to watch for as he holds his first tag title in nearly a decade. It’s also Bray Wyatt’s first championship in WWE. What will they end up doing?
